Seambiotic technology is exploited for two major areas and can be used in many applications / sectors:
A. Bio-fuel
(i) Energy Sector
(ii) Bio-Diesel
(iii) Bio-Ethanol
B. Omega - 3
(i) Food sector
(ii) Functional food sector
(iii) Cosmetics sector
(iv) Health food sector
(v) Animal feed sector
A. BIO-FUEL SECTOR
Bio-diesel is a fuel produced from renewable resources such as vegetable oil rather than petroleum and can
be directly used as a fuel or blended with conventional diesel fuel made from petroleum (petrodiesel). The
benefits of bio-diesel are long: Bio-diesel can run in almost any vehicle that can run on petrodiesel with
few or no modifications.
Bio-ethanol is a fuel produced from the process of fermentation of sugars as most known the production of bio-ethanol from sugarcane in Brazil.
B. OMEGA - 3
Seambiotic has developed a technology that will also harness Omega-3 oils from marine microalgae.
The science behind Omega-3 oil and its ability to impact one's health is extremely strong and positive.
Numerous blind placebo-controlled clinical trials affirm that adequate intake of Omega-3 oil lowers
triglycerides, reduces overall mortality (including mortality due to myocardial infarction), and sudden death
in people with coronary heart disease.
The strength of scientific data is compelling: the FDA in the United States has issued a conditional health claim
for Omega-3 oil and decreased risk of cardiovascular disease.
Significant clinical research and data also indicates that Omega-3 oils improve both retinal and brain
development in infants, and improves patient prognosis in a variety of inflammatory and mental disorders
such as arthritis, Crohn disease, lupus, Huntington's disease, Parkinson's disease, Alzheimer's disease,
depression and schizophrenia.
