Bioethanol

Seambiotic, in collaboration with Inventure chemicals, produced bioethanol by fermentation of the algal polysaccharides. 

Bioethanol has the following beneficial characteristics:

Ethanol Market

Ethanol production reached 3.5 billion gallons in 2004 while an additional 594 million gallons of ethanol capacity is already under development. It is estimated that the ethanol industry may consume an additional 300-400 million bushels of corn each year. Currently, Brazil is the world's leader in ethanol production.
